Frequently asked questions
What if my flag rips or tears earlier than a year?
Any flag with a clear defect or issue related to our manufacturing process will be replaced immediately.
When cared for appropriately, our flags are designed to last a full year. Your subscription includes an
annual replacement delivered before Memorial Day.
Normal wear due to extreme weather or improper placement is not considered a manufacturing defect,
but we’re always happy to talk through options.
I like to replace my flag twice a year. Can I have two replacements annually?
Yes. If you’d like to replace your flag more frequently, email us at hello@semperfiflagsupply.com,
and we’ll customize your subscription to meet your needs.
When will I receive my new flag each year?
Flags are delivered annually before Memorial Day, ensuring you’re always flying a clean, respectful
flag during the most important patriotic season.
Can I cancel or pause my subscription?
Yes. You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us
directly.
Placement & Care
Where should I place my flag to make it last the longest?
Our poles include mounts designed to prevent your flag from wrapping around the pole, allowing it to
fly freely. Because of this, it’s important to ensure the flag has adequate clearance.
Make sure there are no nearby branches, metal fixtures, siding edges, or other objects within the
radius where the flag can move freely. Proper placement significantly extends the life of your flag.
Can I leave my flag up overnight?
Yes — provided the flag is properly illuminated at night, in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code.
Should I take my flag down during storms or severe weather?
We recommend taking your flag down during severe weather unless you are flying an all-weather flag
and it is safe to do so
Flag Retirement & Postage
How does flag retirement work?
Each annual delivery includes prepaid return postage. Simply place your worn flag in the provided
envelope and drop it in the mail. We handle proper retirement with honor and respect, in accordance with
U.S. Flag Code.
What happens to my old flag after I send it back?
Returned flags are retired respectfully through approved retirement processes. Flags are never
discarded or treated as waste.
Do I have to send my old flag back?
While participation is optional, proper retirement is an important part of honoring the flag. Our service
exists to make that process easy and accessible.
Materials & Manufacturing
Are your flags really American-made?
Yes — without exception. Every flag and component we offer is made in the United States. If it isn’t
American-made, it doesn’t go on our pole or your home.
What’s the difference between nylon and polyester flags?
• Nylon flags are lighter, fly easily, and are ideal for standard residential use.
• Polyester flags are heavier and better suited for windy or exposed locations.
Both options are American-made and crafted to high standards.
Where are your products made?
Our products are intentionally sourced across the United States:
• Flags: Midwest
• Poles: Hand-crafted in Ohio
• Mounts: Forged in New England
• Hardware: Manufactured in Idaho
Shipping & Orders
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your plan and location. Flag retirement postage is

Do you ship outside the United States?
At this time, we ship within the United States only.
